The goal is to produce green hydrogen and green derivatives for export to energy-intensive EU markets as a contribution to industrial decarbonization.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><b>Key data (planning status)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>approximately 20 GW of installed solar and wind power capacity<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Multi-stage modular electrolysis system with a final capacity of 10 GW<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Seawater desalination<\/strong> for hydrogen production, powered by the project&#8217;s own renewable energy generation<\/li>\n<li><b>Ammonia and Methanol Synthesis<\/b> for the Production of Transportable Energy Carriers<\/li>\n<li><b>Modular, Scalable Battery Storage Systems for Grid Stabilization<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Location Near the Port for Export Logistics<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Special features<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Holistic system approach:<\/b> production, storage, conversion and export in an integrated project approach<\/li>\n<li><b>Locally rooted \u2013 internationally connected: close <\/b>cooperation with national authorities, local governments, and industry partners<\/li>\n<li><b>Scalability: <\/b>Design as a scalable blueprint for further PtX hubs in North Africa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Target markets &amp;
