What “green” Means to Us<\/span><\/h3>\n

Terms such as \u201cgreen,\u201d \u201crenewable,\u201d and \u201cclimate-friendly\u201d are used inconsistently in the market. We disclose the basis for our statements. <\/p>\n

Green Electricity<\/strong>
\nElectricity from renewable energy facilities\u2014primarily from our own photovoltaic and wind farms, as well as from our project partners’ facilities. [Add information regarding the practice of issuing certificates of origin] <\/p>\n

Green molecules<\/strong>
\n, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and eSAF as RFNBO (Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin) as defined by RED III (Directive (EU) 2023\/2413). The following are decisive: <\/p>\n

  • Complementarity of Renewable Energy Generation<\/li>\n
  • Temporal and geographic correlation between electricity generation and electrolysis pursuant to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023\/1184<\/li>\n
  • A greenhouse gas reduction of at least 70 percent compared to the fossil fuel baseline, in accordance with Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023\/1185<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We Do Not Claim<\/strong>
    \nOur products are not climate-neutral.
    \nRFNBO requires a reduction of at least 70 percent. Our systems are designed to achieve a significantly higher reduction rate; we document the project-specific figures as part of the respective certification process.
    \nWe do not offset emissions in order to claim neutrality. <\/p>\n

    Project status<\/strong>
    \n Our PtX projects are currently under development. Information regarding production quantities and product characteristics refers to the planned design, not to ongoing production.
