Möhring Energie: Your International Partner for Sophisticated Energy Projects
Möhring Energie is a medium-sized, owner-managed group of companies with roots in northern Germany and an international outlook. For over 15 years, we have been designing, building, and operating renewable energy plants and storage solutions—as a project developer, EPC partner, investor, and operator. Drawing on this experience, we are now developing large-scale Power-to-X projects in Morocco, Mauritania, and Brazil to export green molecules to the EU.
How We Work
Project development is at the heart of our work. Our team supports projects from site analysis through the permitting process to technical implementation. We rely on proven technologies and a robust network of suppliers—to ensure that our systems are both technically sound and economically viable.
What sets us apart is that we handle development, construction, and operation all under one roof: We build facilities that we then operate ourselves. This influences every decision we make regarding design, component selection, and implementation.
History

Möhring Energie’s journey began in 2010, when Sascha Möhring installed his first solar power systems right outside his front door—after earning a degree in industrial engineering and spending years helping to build wind and biogas plants around the world.
Starting from the tranquil town of Busenwurth, located directly on the North Sea coast, Möhring EnergieServices—under the corporate umbrella of Möhring Energie Holding, which will soon be established—has built solar parks and wind farms throughout northern Germany. In the early 2020s, projects in Ukraine were added; since 2021, Möhring Energie has been active in Morocco, and has since expanded to Mauritania and Brazil as well.
There, the focus is on PtX plants for the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives, which are easier to transport. Möhring Energie also designs and builds the power-generating PV and wind turbines, storage systems, and seawater desalination plants for the process water supply—in collaboration with our network of technology and equipment suppliers.
